Tech Trail is an independent publisher writing about a slice of the technology industry, focusing on projects, 3D printing, and smart home technology. We publish a variety of how-to’s, opinion pieces, and product reviews aiming to save you time and get the information you need—without fighting through adverts and unhelpful articles!
Tech Trail started at the end of 2018 as a fun side project as a repository for information that couldn’t be found elsewhere on the net. Written in a way that almost anyone with the desire can follow with ease—we’ve even followed our own guides to re-setup projects! Since it’s creation Tech Trail has grown exponentially into a wealth of information, helping many to build projects, such as an Interactive World Map for D&D and a DIY StreamDeck (coming soon), as well as expanding their smart home network with Cheap Hue/HomeKit LED Controllers and IR Blasters.
If you’d like to get in contact with Tech Trail—whether for a chat, product review, assistance, or collaboration—we’d love to hear from you. Please drop us an email at [email protected]. We look forward to your email 🙂
Who created Tech Trail?
Tech Trail was founded by Sam Brooks, a Broadcast Engineer with a passion for technology and design. Working on the bleeding edge of technology in the Broadcast industry Sam is exposed to a vast amount of emerging technologies and likes to keep up to date on the latest tech in general.
During University Sam learned how to code and create using Arduinos and 3D Printers, which led to a Final Major Project relating to both—which in part has been written about within the DMX Christmas Tree guide. Since then Sam has used these skills and passion to create a vast range of projects and guides and hopes to share them with others.
